Russia's Foreign Affairs Ministry has announced that the leader of Libya's eastern armed forces, Khalifa Haftar, has left Moscow without signing the ceasefire agreement in Libya formed after talks held yesterday in Moscow, broadcast Anadolu Agency (AA).
Ministry in a statement for Russian news agency T The ASS said Hafttar has left the Russian capital in the hours of the night without signing the agreement accepted by the head of the National Accession Government (GNA), Fayez al-Saray.
The statement said Russia continues its work among the parties in Libya.
) Libya crisis talks in Moscow
Talks were held yesterday in Moscow between Libya's sides and Turkish and Russian delegations.
The Turkish delegation had formulated the text of the agreement with Sarray and the chairman of Libya's State High Council, Khalid al-Mishri.
The Russian delegation tried to convince Hafttar and the head of the Tobückun-based House of Representatives, Agila Saleh, but Haftar did not sign the text formed as a result of long-term efforts, demanding deadlines by morning. / AA
