In June 2011, migrants made up about 20% of employment, while in June 2019 that figure reached 60%.
The percentage of the labour force coming outside the European Union has increased significantly.
“More foreign workers are needed to make the social security system more resistant in the future”, Daniel Terzenbach said by the Federal Employment Agency board.
He added that global competition for these workers is on the rise
