Countdown continues for Kurt: Parties Continue Dispute

As the Vetevendosje (LV) Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) continue not to back down from their stances on the position of the chief parliament, counting hours backwards for LVV leader Albin Kurtin has already begun. Kurt, as prime minister's mandate, has only five days to present the composition of the government cabinet before the Assembly....
On Tuesday, the constitutional deadline, which has mandated Prime Minister Albin Kurti, will form Kosovo's new government, or remains in the discretion of the country's president Hashim Thaci, of who will be the second mandate to form the new government.
And as the days pass, the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo continue to have no co-governance agreement, as the goal of their differences continues to be the position of Kosovo's top parliament.
Thus, at the last meeting of Albin Kurti and Isa Mustaf two leaders confirmed their steadfast positions, but none of them raised the red flag for failing negotiations.
The LDK claims that the head of the Parliament's position will hold until the day when Parliament elects Kosovo's new president, sometime in the first part of 2021, until Vetevendosje remains convinced that this position is not negotiated.
Meanwhile Wednesday, EU Office chief Natalia Apostolova once again called for the quick formation of the new government, in order to meet EU-defined reforms as soon as possible.
