Professor Jürgen Haas of the University of Edinburgh said he believed there would be many more cases from other cities in the United Kingdom. He said three cases were in Edinburgh and the other was thought to be in Glasgow.
Tests are under way and none of the patients have yet to confirm that they have the disease. They all traveled to Scotland from Wuhan, where the virus reportedly claimed the lives of 17 people, reports The Guardian.
Earlier in the day, Health Secretary Matt Hancock told MPs that it is likely that the coronavirus that is causing death in China would reach the United Kingdom, but said authorities are well prepared and will remain vigilant.
