The team behind this study has also explained why certain foods cause more addiction than others.
Using Yale University's schemes for the Poverty Stairs designed to measure an individual's dependence on food, it has been found that cheese has the ability to cause dependence because it contains kezeine or milk protein.
The authors of the study have found that processed foods are linked to addiction behavior, since fatty foods are the hardest to avoid when you start consuming.
