The Democratic Party of Kosovo, following the election of the new chairmanship, with proposals by party chairman Kadri Veselin, has appointed two officials responsible for communication and relations with the public.
President Veselin's Cabinet chief, Avni Bytyci, has been appointed to the position of party spokesman, while Basmir Xhemaj, has been appointed director of the Party's Communication Office.
Before serving in the position of PDK spokesman, Bytyci was on two terms Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Kadri Wessel.
He was engaged in the civil society sector, maintaining different managerial and leadership positions, contributing to democracy and transparent and accounting institutions.
In 2013, he accepted the Fulbright Stock Exchange from the U.S. State Department to continue his studies. After completing basic studies, the management of political sciences at the University of Pristina has attended master-level studies at “Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs” at Syracuse University in New York, U.S.A.
While the director of the Communications Office, Basmir Xhemaj, has graduated from political science and amputated for communication at Sheffield University, the international faculty in Thessaloniki. There is a long experience in journalism and civil society.
While since 2014, he has been working as an adviser to the foreign ministry and later as senior adviser to Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj.
