Thousands of pounds of food have been sent to animals at Operation Rock Kangaroos, according to the South Wales Energy and Environment Minister.
Matt Kean distributed an image of a person throwing carrots out of the helicopter, explaining that vegetables and sweet potatoes were among the foods being sent to animals affected by forest fires, writes Independent, translates Periscope.
Under an image of a kangaroo eating a carrot, the minister had written: “A happy customer. ”
Millions of hectares of Australian land have been affected by fires starting since September last year, endangering animals and destroying their food resources.
