Former LDK President Adem Salihaj, through a Facebook account, has remembered the ideaist of Independence.
This is Saliaj's post, addressed by former President Rugova:
Dear President Rugova spent 14 years leaving this world. While you were alive, you directed Kosovo's freedom and independence ship through raging waves, between rocks, under lightning and thunder, in a wild environment, when the destruction of our people in Kosovo was imminent. No one had the courage, determination and truthfulness, no one had the vision and strategy of achieving our purpose, dreaming for centuries. The Kosovo Albanian people, from a hopeless people, from an unsurpassed and martyred people, turned them into a powerful, unique, invincible and victorious people. The world was amazed at what you created with the people of Kosovo. You turned your back on us, all the love in the world. Despite the great disregard Kosovo and Albanians had from the great decision-making powers and from the Western world, you turned this ignoring and anti-patibility into support and sympathy. You were the one who created unity for the interests of Kosovo, even with those who insulted you, abused you, and attacked you in the lowest ways and means.
President Rugova, you would be very surprised today, if you could see what state political parties and so-called leaders brought Kosovo. When you were alive, even though the party you led had the only 47 deputies, to establish unity and share power with even small parties, to move Kosovo towards economic and cultural development, towards EU integration, NATO and other international mechanisms, steadily strengthening permanent friendship with our friend and biggest supporter-United States of America. Today, these self-called leaders have depreciated all that you created, transforming Kosovo into a spoils, which can be betrayed and sold without any hesitation. Anything can be robbed, stolen, and sold. And money, and honor, and land. The Republic of Kosovo, which you created, has lost its honour and is transformed every day.
Nearly twelve years after declaring independence and twenty years after the liberation, their parties and leaders are unable to create Kosovo institutions, which you managed to create even under heavy Serbian occupation.
If you were raised today, you wouldn't trust your eyes. Those who make it miserable and ruined your life are making it miserable today and ruining the lives of Kosovo and its people. This people, from whom you have created signs, today are utterly exhausted, confused, and orphaned, and do not know how to sustain them. He has given up hope, has lacked vision, and has no power to rise, and to take away these men who have neither religion nor nation nor honor nor glory.
Dear President, I can't say I'm happy with our country. I can say I'm disappointed. I never thought we were such a ignorant people and we put the scum and shit on top of the state.
You would think young people and young people are proud of our country, which we have created with so much sacrifice. No. On the contrary, young men and women try to leave this country as soon as possible and never look back. Kosovo is empty, all those who can leave are leaving. This filthy casserole disgusted the state, not only the young, but all. Lost their national and human pride, lost their morale and their desire to live here.
Dear President, I know you're going to ask me what we're going to do now, why we don't find a solution, where intellectuals and visionary politicians are, where patriots who own the country. I can't answer that question. Hard question. You, I believe, would find a solution, because you could figure it out even when it was too hard. But we don't even have a choice!
