The Ministry of Finance in the nine-month financial report of 2019 has indicated that the exact number of beneficiaries of these pensions has not been disclosed to Kosovo Liberation Army veterans (MPMS).
But in the statistics provided by the newspaper “Voice” by this minister turns out that by May, pension beneficiaries were 37 thousand and 460 veterans. The lack of data for the following months cannot reveal the number of veterans who have gained pensions. During the past year, a chaos arose in the country due to the release of 20 thousand false veterans on the list, which was then compiled by lawyer Elez Blakaj, writes away “Zer”.
After that, the prosecution proposed that the payments be stopped for veterans whose names were found on the lists, but such a decision has not yet been taken by the Court. All veterans, despite the names of some figures on lists of fake veterans, continue to receive pensions from the state.
