The 40-year-old, whose last name is Yu, launched the school attack at around 8am in the province of Hubei, police said in a statement.
In addition to eight children killed in the attack, two children were injured, police said. The names and children killed in this terrible attack have not been disclosed. The suspect was immediately arrested, while the motive is unknown, the world media write.
Stab attacks have become almost common in China. In April 2018, nine children in high school were killed by a colleague who said that he was humiliated by his peers.
