Thaci visits Japan today

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci will travel today for a several-day official visit to Japan.

President Thaci will hold meetings with the highest state leaders to push ahead with the deepening agenda of co-operation between the two states.

During this visit, President Thaci will be received by his Majesty, the emperor of Japan.

Also expected will be Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, with whom there will be a business lunch after the bilate meeting.

According to a presidency communique, this visit by President Thaci to Japan comes now when the two countries are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the connection of diplomatic relations.

The official “Visita aims to boost bilatheral co-operation and expand trade exchange between our two countries”, the communiqué says.
