Cheri Die Nalio, an Associated Press photographer, was wounded in the face. The second person, Leon Leblank, a driver and security guard, also received serious wounds at Port-o-Prance, the country's capital.
The wounded look out of danger to life, even though the doctors removed pieces of bullets from the photographer's face.
Haiti's Senate is trying to meet for the first time in two days to confirm the appointment of the new prime minister, Fritz-William Michel.
