A day before the official opening of the election campaign, the Electoral Panel for Anxiety and Parashtre (PZAP) at the Central Election Commission has warned political subjects to campaign in accordance with the law, otherwise risk being fined up to 50,000 euros.
PZAP's head, Sylvia Sylejmani, has announced the legal frameworks for the election campaign.
While saying that for disrespecting legislation in the 2017 early elections, P ZAP has issued sentences at many of the 848 thousand and 900 euros, especially for violations of the code of courtesy.
It has called on political parties to campaign in accordance with the law, as P ZAP has undertaken all first legal actions for organising the elections.
“A message PZAP's for all political subjects, for all their supporters, is to create conditions for the people of Kosovo to choose their representatives, through free elections, in the rule of law and in a democratic manner”, she said.
Faton Azem, member PZAP said it would protect and guarantee each citizen's vote, while having a message for political subjects and their candidates for MPs.
“PZAP will not tolerate any political subject or candidate, which in these elections affect or undermine the election process. We are here to appeal to all political subjects to carry out an honest, contained campaign that will be marked by programming campaigns and avoid prosecution issues, because only in that way will it ensure that the election process is in high integrity”, he said.
PZAP commemorates political subjects who are careful not to include under 18-year-olds in the campaign, as fines will be considered in such cases
