The president of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta, will appear before the Parliament's Investigative Commission. It is the first time in Albania's history that a president faces a commission to be questioned as suspected of violating the constitution.
The Socialist majority led by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama accuses the president of serious violation of the Constitution following the decision to celebrate June 30th as the date for local elections.
Top Channel report yesterday that in this confrontation, the president will not be alone, but will be accompanied by three advisers. The president will not read the oath formula, as he is the person under investigation. Adjusting parliamentary commissions predicts the oath formula is read to witnesses.
The strategy the president will pursue in front of this commission is expected to be interested in, whether he will be content to read the arguments sent in a letter to the investigative commission through a 25-page paper, or he will prefer to conduct this session through questioning-responding.
The president's position in relation to the president's chairman of the Baltimore Commission, Uly Manya, for whom the presidency has not been spared to mention an audio conversation, following elections in Debar, published by the Bild newspaper.
