Although the election campaign has not yet begun, political leaders have been issued with insulting statements, stings and accusations against each other. According to civil society, such a dictionary could trigger clashes in electorates.
The Chairman of the Council for Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms (KMDLNJ), Behxhet Shala, in a proposal for the newspaper “Voice” said political leaders rather than reveal their programmes are exploring each other's biography. “We have invited political parties to refrain from deignive and instead offer development programmes. What they are doing is denigrating, trying to investigate the biographies of others and their family, which is not important, as during the campaign they should focus on their” programmes, he said.
He has once again invited political parties to distance themselves from the deignive language through the newspaper. “Every political party should gather its members, warn them and take responsibility for the campaign's prosperity. Don't let go to lower level games. I invite leaders to campaign that offers new prospects and opportunities for Kosovo citizens”, he has said.
