Minister Fadi al-hadam has been charged with violating a law banning the Palestinian Authority with headquarters in the West Coast occupied by political activities in Jerusalem. Police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld said Al Hadami was arrested early in the morning.
Al Hadami was arrested on the same charges in June. Jerusalem Governor Adnan Gay, who was appointed by the Palestinian Authority, is also accused of the same work.
The Palestinian authority appoints officials for East Jerusalem, which Israel took in the 1967 war and was later annexed. These officials play a largely symbolic role because Israel controls the entire city.
