He has published a photo with Deputy Assistant Secretary, Matthew. Palmer, who is a special envoy for normalising Kosovo-Serbia relations.
It seems Haradinaj has received support from Palmer for unconditional dialogue with Serbia and with clear framework for the format of topics to be discussed.
Kosovo is steadfast in empowering the bilate and strategic partnership, as well as deepening permanent friendship with the US. Returning to the table of dialogue unconditionally and with clear deadlines and frameworks for normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia is the only way the two states approach with Euro-Atlantic structures. Deputy Assistant Secretary Matthew Palmer, as the special envoy for the subject from the State Department, is a signal of continued support for Kosovo from the US”, Haradinaj wrote on Facebook.
Haradinaj has said he has expressed readiness before Palmer to reach a legal agreement for mutual recognition with Serbia on the existing borders.
At a meeting with Palmer, in New York, I stressed once again that Kosovo is ready and dedicated to the legally binding agreement, including mutual recognition on existing borders”, it wrote at the end.
