Dear gentlemen, Your Honor,
I address you publicly in trying to create a space of dialogue and interaction between us, regarding a common challenge of national importance, the Electoral Reform.
Our political objections are internationally recognised and respective positions, in relation to the country's institutional space as well.
However, beyond the edge of our differences, we have neither chosen each other nor we can undo each other's existence. So we are doomed to co-exist regardless of mutual discontent, as long as others, electors, have given us terms of representation, some to govern and some to make opposition.
You decided to burn the entry warrants in the Assembly and self-disfellowshipped from the parliamentary life of this legislature. But anyway, by the June 2021 elections, you are voted to represent a small part of the Albanian voters. Therefore also the Assembly has reserved a special place for you at the Election Reform Commission.
The process has started in the Parliamentary Opposition and will be closed in the Assembly of course, but your absence in the republic's highest decision-making institution does not automatically exclude you from the area of discussion on the Electoral Reform. On the contrary. At least that's my opinion and noting your absence at the Electoral Commission's own table, I invite you to meet and discuss this common challenge, at any time and place that would come to your attention if you are interested in getting involved in this process. No conditions” wrote Rama in notice.
