Arrest sought for court in Skenderaj, police official arrested under suspicion of corruption

The news of their arrest has confirmed the “Justice Trust”, special prosecutor Blerim Isufaj.
He has said that during Friday he will also submit the request for the detention measure for the two detainees.
Isufaj has said that other details about this case will be submitted to the request for the detention assignment.
Kosovo Police, in a media communiqué, have announced that, under suspicion of criminal acts of corruption, has been arrested by Kosovo Police, a judge at the Criminal Department of the Foundation Court in Mitrovica-Dega in Skenderaj and a police official on the evening of 26 September.
They are suspected of three criminal acts of corruption and that for “the misuse of official position or authority”,“bribery” and “impact management”.
Kosovo's “Police, namely the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption (DHKEK), after five months of development of professional investigations and application of measures defined by the KKPPRKS, by regional investigators for investigating economic crimes and corruption in Pristina has provided relevant relevant information that has reflected the abuse of judicial functions, of actions that discredit the position and figure of the judge. It says the police official has immediately been suspended and, under further actions, has been announced and including the Kosovo Police Inspectorate.
The two people suspected and now most arrested have been interviewed, and in consultation with the competent prosecutor the detention measure has been pronounced for 48 hours, for further procedures.
