Albin Kurti: I can work with Hashim Thaci

Albin Kurti, chairman of Vetevendosje, has said that if he becomes prime minister he is willing to co-operate with President Hashim Thaci.

But he stressed that in his government, the view of the state would limit maneuvering space.

“He cannot behave with me as if he did in the past term with Prime Minister Haradinaj. We'll definitely have communication, we can have co-operation”.

The candidate for prime minister for dialogue with Serbia said that since the first week at the top of the executive will begin contact with Kosovo Serb citizens.

Kurti stressed that it is not up to those people who try to complete the dialogue before the elections in Serbia next year.

The “in the first week will begin dialogue with Kosovo Serbs. In the first month, I will assess all agreements that have been made with Serbia. Also in the first month, I will start meetings with the EU to prepare for dialogue with Serbia. I do not belong to those people who try to complete the dialogue before elections in Serbia next year”.
