Wessel: Ohrid Agreement testifies Albanians prefer to solve problems through dialogue

Kosovo Parliament Speaker, at once leader of The PDK, Kadri Veselin, on the 18th anniversary of the signing of the Ohrid Agreement, has said this event represents the greatest achievement of Albanian efforts to live as equals in their lands within Northern Macedonia.

Through a text on his Facebook page, Wessel said the Ohrid Agreement testifies that the Albanian nation is peace-loving and that problems prefer to be resolved through dialogue and understanding.

“18 years from the signing of the Ohrid Agreement in Northern Macedonia. This event represents the greatest achievement of Albanian efforts to live equal in their lands within this state. This deal testifies that the Albanian nation is peace-loving and that problems prefer to be resolved through dialogue and understanding. Along with the Name Agreement, it has democratised northern Macedonia and stabilised the Balkans. Peace in Northern Macedonia has vital importance also for Kosovo, so we are very proud that our associates have been constructive and have played a crucial role on the Euro-Atlantic path of this state”, Veselin wrote.
