Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq said that in the best case negotiations with Pristina will continue in December.
“It is hard that there may be continuing dialogue before holding elections in Kosovo, which I believe will be held on 6 October. This means that, in the best case, at the beginning of December, dialogue may continue, but before that, the important thing is to talk about tax removal”, Vuciq said of Serbian media.
The Serbian president said that “staus quazo” is impossible, and that it is important to maintain peace, because as he said, “a rifle if fired then no one can stop the sound of the cannons, and that nobody needs”.
Vuciki's statements take place after meeting in New York with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeii.
Vuciq said he has asked Pompeo that the US add pressure on Kosovo for the removal of the 100 per cent tax on Serbian goods, imposed in November last year.
While Pompeo, through a Twitter post, said normalising Serbia's reports with Kosovo would strengthen the stability and prosperity of Serbia and the Western Balkans, as well as the transatlantic community.
