Union urges RTK '%s' to make legal solutions with 9 journalists opposing an editor

SPARTK has called for preserving public television from political interference.

“The SPARTK also requires the RTK management to make solutions to our journalists' colleagues as soon as possible by leaving no room for interference with any individual who may have a political agenda at the expense of RTK”, it is said in the SPEPRTK's reaction.

The Union's reaction came after Dating Kastrati accused 9 journalists of being involved in political scenarios. He said their goal is to destabilise RTK.

According to reporters, Besart Galica has been established in the editor's position on the basis of discrimination, legal violations.

RTK Workers Union has taken on news publishing concern for RTK today in some media. The union requires RTK management but also journalists' colleagues to use other forms of communication to solve any internal problems.

RTK has consistently cultivated traditions and acceptable forms of communication and has solved all problems by respecting rules and laws in power. The SPARTK also requires that RTK management make solutions to our journalists' colleagues as soon as possible, leaving no room for interference with any individual who may have a political agenda at the expense of RTK.

SPARTK will follow closely until a legal solution to the situation is found. The union supports any legal action in RTK and will also reject any advance or action if we note that the RTK regulations and law are not respected.

The union will also object with legal forms any tendency for politicisation or propaganda from whom it wants to come where RTK's interests and our colleagues are damaged. Policymen's interference in RTK's functioning constitutes serious legal violations, as the public broadcaster is independent and has its law of operation.
