Serbian media reported that the car the 9-year-old girl was hiding was with Germany's license plates.
The car was directed by a 42-year-old man who was being accompanied by his 17-year-old son.
During regular inspection, they said they had nothing to report, but customs officers found a nine-year-old Albanian girl hiding at the site for the spare tire. Then the police found the girl's files in the car, which is from Podujevo.
The car driver has told Serbian authorities that the child was his sister, who lives in Germany, and that while playing accidentally was hiding in the trunk. The girl according to Serbian authorities has been taken away by workers at the Prokuplje Centre for Social Work.
Suspects have been arrested, and at the order of the Prosecutor have been sent to the detention for 48 hours.
Nine years old had left for Germany to join her mother. The girl had been trying to secure the documents for four years, but all attempts had failed.
