Protest began today at eight o'clock in the morning and continued until two o'clock in the afternoon.
The demand of these strikers is compensation and other benefits for riskiness, eliminating pay differences, paying job experience, and working hours during weekends paid according to the Labour Law, and also paying the staff.
The chairman of the Union Airport Workers' Union Latifi Union, in a proposal for Periscope, said the strike has continued calm today without any trouble, and that this strike will continue until the implementation of five legal requirements.
He has stressed that so far he has been none of the officials to visit the strikers and that they have not talked to anyone.
“Greva is continuing as it was before, from 8 to 2 p.m. Puntos are on strike, those who are not at work, have come and are on strike. The services haven't been offered to the strikers, the services have been provided by workers who are in the management, I've been trying to get them to do normal work and to get everything back to normal. We're interested in talking to someone and solving this situation. The Assembly of Trade Union is the one that will decide how long it will go, but we are convinced that until the completion of five legal requirements (require compensation and other benefits for risklessness, elimination of differences in wages, payment of work experience, and working hours paid on weekends according to the Labour Law, and also the payment of the driver), the situation will be so”, Latifi said of Periscope.
Because of the strike continuing on the part of workers, there have been information that several flights have been canceled and the airport has been closed, there has been a reaction from ANP “Adem Jashari”.
But these were dismissed by spokeswoman Valentina Gara, who said that the operations were not closed and that at the airport they continue to process all flights, writes Periscope.
We are welcome to inform our passengers that ANP-Adem Jasharı has not closed operations, but continues to process all flights and travellers”, she said.
To this strike, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has reacted through an announcement, says it is investigating the case created at Pristina Airport following the workers' strike.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs for Public Security, respectively, through inspectors for civil aviation security who have been present and are following the situation created at Pristina International Airport “Adem Jashari” during the airport's staff hold of the strike. Inspectors for the security of MPB civil aviation are investigating the case in question, and after the investigation is completed, they will draft the official report”, the report says. /Periscope
