Today starts “DokuFest”, ahead of the public over 280 films will be shown

A total of 282 films are selected to be shown before the public, as well as various music and panels, where topics that mainly aim at empowering young people in the labour market will be addressed.
Festival director “DokuFest”, Nita Deda said this year this festival will have a varied programme, including exhibitions, music and movies for all categories.
The artistic director of “DokuFest”, Veton Nurcolari, said that out of the 2,500 competition films have been selected 16 which will compete in six categories.
According to him, innovation this year will be the mobile cinema, which will travel to some of Prizren's most remote neighbourhoods, to bring the festival to every part of Prizren.
Nurcolari said that even this year “DokuFest” will have a music festival that will be extended to the festival's four stages.
The artistic director also announced that 50 films for young people and children will be shown in this edition.
According to short film selector Samir Karahoda said the short film programme contains a total of 30 films that have been selected throughout the year. He said the theme of these films would be migration, racism and gender issues.
Linda Lula, executive director of “DokuFest”, said that in addition to movies and music, the public will be able to enjoy and educate even through various panels aimed at empowering young people for the job market.
