According to a University Clinical Centre report (QKUK), this disease is rare in medical practices and has been treated by a medical team, composed of abdominal surgeons and urologists, for the first time in Kosovo.
The “Operation is realised with the use of contemporary device (the ultrasonic link), which has become available to Abdominal Surgery and is already part of the daily work in this clinic. Intervention has been conducted by general surgeons Dr. Valon Zamenu, Dr. Salih Krasniqi, Dr. Ismet Shaqiri as well as urologists Dr. Dean Kryeziu, Dr. Liridon Selmani, Dr. Dr. Dr. Feriz and Dr. Artan Elshani. Also, the team has been assisted by the Jevrije Jashanica and Kumrije Mjak and anesthesiologist Sebahate Gashi”, the report says.
