Before the deputies of the Kosovo Republic decide on the distribution of the Assembly, they are expected to vote on the bill to ratify the financial agreement for IPA 2018 between Kosovo and the European Union.
The estimated total cost of the IPA 2018 programme is 94,796,800 euros. The EU contribution is 90,500000 euros, while Kosovo institutions will provide co-finance of 4,926800 euros.
The agreement has envisioned financing reforms in advancing democracy and good governance, rule of law, environment, energy, education, and employment.
Stocks “will be financed in the field of democracy and good governance New Professional Scheme” or Young Cell Scheme (YCS). Through the stock exchange, Kosovo's young will be able to continue MASTER studies at European universities.
Likewise, support for the rise of Kosovo's Parliament capacity will be financed, as well as payment will be secured for Kosovo's participation in four (4) EU programmes.
In the area of rule of law, it will support the approach of the legal and institutional framework with EU standards, as well as strengthening independence, professionalism, accountability and efficiency of the justice system.
Similarly, the fight against corruption, money laundering and financing of terrorism will be supported.
In the area of fundamental rights, the economic empowerment of minority communities in Kosovo will be supported.
In the field of environment and energy, 40 million will be provided for addressing air pollution by replacing the environmental elements of Kosovo B, which will ensure the reduction of dust and NOx emissions.
In addition, 4.9m euros will be offered for sanitation in Pec, as well as development of infrastructure for integrated waste management across Kosovo.
In the education field, 13m euros will be offered to improve Kosovo's education system, with emphasis on advancing access to vulnerable groups to the education system, improving Kosovo's rating in P ISA, as well as the interconnection of the educational system with the labour market.
In the employment field, 3m euros will be offered for financing the establishment of Kosovo competitiveness and NVM support.
With 3.7m euros, the design of the Concert Hall will be funded, the approach of disabled people in public institutions will improve, and the communication of EU assistance to Kosovo will be advanced.
