The municipalities complain that August is interfering with their competence

According to the Labour Law, competitions are announced by the employer, and in this case the school staff's employer is the municipalities. Even the law on local self-government stresses that each municipality has the competence to contract and employ staff.
Pristina's Education Directorate has filed complaints at the Labour Inspectorate for this intervention. The competition is also being rejected by the Obilic Community and the Vushtrri Committee, which has invited the Ministry to urgently interrupt the recruiting procedures of these positions.
The competition announced in late June continues to stay on the August website. Sources of the newspaper within this institution have said that even despite municipality complaints, the ministry has not cancelled the competition.
