Albania's president, Ilir Meta, considers the 13 October elections the only political solution.
President Meta says that “just by standing on the side of legitimacy and participation in institutions, the opposition can help the country, democracy, justice, but also itself”.
Emphasizing the opposition's role, Meta says that “if the opposition in Serbia would expect Milosevic to condemn Milosevic, or guarantee free and fair elections, he would undoubtedly be in power to this day if his heart stopped. But the opposition made the right decision by joining, facing it and defeating it. Then he cuffed him and forwarded him to The Hague tribunal”.
“The elections are the only solution for democracy and justice. Everything else is an excuse, alibi and co-sider! October 18th, approaching.
