The law on responsibility and the privilege of deputies envisions that MPs after the mandate is completed receive a one-year salary, writes Indexline.
It means even if they fail to be elected for the next mandate, and even if they do not enjoy other financial means from the state budget, they benefit from the MP's basic salary for a year.
And as for the Speaker of the Parliament, if he is no longer elected for this post, he will continue to receive 70 percent of the chairman's basic salary for life.
