The number of employed persons in the United States reached a record 157,28,000 in July, according to the employment report published today by the Bureau of Labour Statistics.
That figure, according to the White House in Washington, was up 283,000 out of 157 005,000 employed in June.
The unemployment rate remained stable in July at 3.7 per cent, the same as in June, is highlighted further, Klan Kosova reports.
According to the employment report, the non-institutional civilian population in the United States was 259,225,000 in July. This included all 16 - year - olds who did not live in an institution (such as prison, nursing homes, or long - term care hospital).
Out of that non-institute civilian population, 163,351,000 were in the workforce, which means they either had a job or were actively looking for one over the last month. This was equal to a degree in labor force participation of 63.0 percent an increase from 62.9 percent in June.
Of the 163,351,000 who were in the workforce, 6,063,000 were unemployed, equaling an unemployment rate of 3.7 percent.
