The Islamic state has claimed responsibility for shelling a wedding in Kanbul, where at least 60 people were left dead and more than 180 others injured. More than a thousand people are believed to have been inside the building.
Afghan officials said that about 200 people were injured after Saturday night's disaster, writes The Guardian, records Periscopi. This happened in the Dubai City wedding hall, in the western neighbourhood of Kanbul, which is the home of the Shia Hazara minority community.
A statement issued by the military group posted on a site linked to Isis on Sunday has said the attack was carried out by a Pakistani fighter. The statement says even a bomb car was detonated after the suicide bombing.

Isis has claimed responsibility for many of the bloody attacks on the Hazara community since its militants took over in Afghanistan in 2014.
The survivors said that the bomber had stayed in a country where he had children and other people assembled when he had detonated the explosives.
While the Taliban had denied responsibility for the attack, even calling it a “prohibited and unwarranted”.
But Afghanistan's president, Ashraf Ghani, had said that the Taliban cannot escape responsibility for the attack, Bharabarı. /Periscope
