Haliti: The prime minister's post must only meet Kadri Wessel

Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy leader Xhavit Haliti has voiced confidence that the PDK will win in the October 6th snap elections.

This more legislature will be remembered for violating the Constitution and rules in the Assembly by the Democratic League and Vetevendosje. We have not reached any agreement with any political party.

As far as the PDK has stressed that it has not set red lines against any political party, the deputy chairman of The PDK has declared they are making all preparations to win the 6 October elections.

He says anyone who talks about any coalition, The PDK as the only condition is that the prime minister's post meets only Kadri Wessel.

“We will win the majority of MPs, we will win the winning party in this election. I said we haven't put red lines, but we have only one condition the government will lead Kadri Wessel, and with whom it needs to be made because the coalition needs to be made, then it will be discussed by the interest of other parties as well as our interests that are both ideological and political, which are of Kosovo”, Haliti said.

While only a few hours away from completing the deadline for political parties to hand over the coalition to the Central Election Commission, Haliti says that by this moment the PDK has not reached any coalition agreement with any political party and is not closed for discussion.

We are determined to firmly organise for elections we have built a membership and highly organised infrastructure with branches and submarines to win elections. So far we have not insisted on being in a coalition with someone. Today is the last day of what I would say should be presented for coalitions in the CEC so far we don't have any agreement with any party but we've been declared not closed for discussions, but we're closed to negotiate giving the prime minister's post another party. This is our condition with whom we can talk to enter the talks”, says the former deputy head of the Kosovo Assembly.

Speaking about the determined tax on Serbian and Bosnian products, and whether this fee should be removed from the future Kosovo government or not, the former deputy head of the Kosovo Assembly says that if the international community seeks to remove the determined tax aimed at unlocking dialogue with Serbia, such a thing must be accepted by the future Kosovo government.
