Hakki Rugova says he will not only be a candidate for LDK) chairman

Democratic League of Kosovo deputy leader Haki Rugova, in a telephone link to T7 television's Pressing show, has declared there may be more than one candidate for his party's chairman tomorrow.

He has declared that all of this depends on everyone's personal will if he wants to run.

“I believe there will be other candidates, it all depends on the will those who want to run” said Rugova.

He said the party has worked hard for Saturday's assembly to be organised solemnly and will prove the consensual candidate for the party chairman's chair.

“Sic have seen the last few days we've worked very intensively under the leadership of President Isa Mustafa and I think we're going to go completely organised and consensually and that will also prove the consensual candidate” he said.

Rugova even added that the assembly tomorrow will be transparent and open to all candidates willing to run.

The possibility will be opened for all candidates who are willing to run. It will all be well organised and transparent based on the regulation and statute of the LDK” said the party's deputy chairman.

He further added that the consensus candidate agreement is not only for the mayor, but also for the way the party will be organised in the future, suggesting that the vice-presidents have also been elected.

The “not only does it have consensus but there is also agreement which will be comprehensive for the future organisation of LDK” Rugova said.

The LDK election assembly will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m., where the party chairman will be elected. /
