Although as a consequence of seasonal flows, the euro earlier this month marked the lowest record rate in the past 12 years, currency exchange experts argue that the current exchange price is reflecting movements on the free market.
The main actors in the currency market told the Monitor that there were volumes of transactions and that, in addition to currency flows, the circulation of money in the economy has also increased. One factor relates to the summer holiday season, where most individuals plan holidays. At the same time, there has been increasing demand to exchange currency money from all individuals who have planned holidays abroad. According to experts, these are normal movements in the currency exchange market.
Other coins have recovered from local money as well. According to the Bank of Albania, the US dollar has been exchanged for $108.52. Even the British pound won points at the money by trading to 131.23, or about 0.5 points more than a day ago.
