To enter the Assembly, parties must pass the 5 per cent election threshold

Last night at 24:00, the signing of pre-election coalitions at the Central Election Commission for the 6 October elections expires. Under the ruling laws of the Republic of Kosovo, all political subjects, including political coalitions, parties as single, civic initiatives and independent candidates of the Albanian community, must pass the 5% election threshold [...]
Under the ruling laws of the Republic of Kosovo, all political subjects -- including political coalitions, parties as single, civic initiatives and independent candidates of the Albanian community -- must pass the 5% electoral threshold of the general vote, to be part of the Kosovo Assembly.
Non-US communities have not imposed the electoral threshold, while 20 seats in the Kosovo Republic Assembly are guaranteed.
The 5% threshold has been criticised many times by smaller political subjects, civic initiatives and independent persons, where it is required to change the Law for Elections, suggesting that the election threshold for low political subjects to 3%, while for independent candidates be reduced below 3%.
