China's special envoy for Syria warned a renaissance of terrorist organisations, such as the Islamic State, in this country destroyed by eight years of war and urged the international community not to neglect alarm signals.
Xie Xiaoyan spoke to reporters in Geneva after a meeting with UN special envoy for Syria Geir O. Pedersen.
There is a danger today that terrorist organisations like the Islamic State are re-launching”, he confirmed.
The international community must be careful”, he added.
The Islamic State Group has occupied large parts of Syria and Iraq territories in 2014, where it has declared a potassium, but the offensive undertaken in these two countries has ended in March.
The visit to Geneva of the Chinese diplomat takes place at a time when Syrian President Bachar al-Assad is preparing to undertake, with the help of his Russian ally, a major offensive against Idleb, the last book held by jihadists in northwest Syria.
