Immediately after President Trump's statement, the Turkish currency's value was marked.
The United States had consistently rejected Turkey's plans to purchase defence system from Russia.
Washington has said this system poses danger to American fighter planes.
But, Ankara continued with its plans, and already a part of this system has arrived from Russia to Turkey, follows REL.
Several days ago, President Trump blamed his predecessor, Barack Obama, due to the impasse to supply Turkey with the American missile defence system called “Patriot”.
