Trade ministry verify mill scales before harvest season

By the decision of Minister of Trade and Industry Andrew Shala, today the Metrology Agency and the Inspectorate have made the verification of large weights. Verification is being done before the beginning of the harvesting season in order not to fool the consumer.

The chief chief of the Ferki Fyza Metrology Agency has said the main purpose of this visit is to verify the consumer's most protected scales.

The show further added that such inspections would take place in other Kosovo cities.

The purpose of the visit is extraordinary verification for all collection points and flour factories on this threshold of beginning harvesting, verifying scales at consumer protection points, considering that this is one of the fundamental principles of both the Ministry of Trade and Minister Andrew Shala's. This activity is in fulfillment of legal obligations stemming from the law on metrology”, Fyza said.

While Trade Ministry Chief Inspector Lulzim Syla has called on collectors to verify the scales otherwise they can be fined.
