During the summer months, the number of fellow countrymen coming to Kosovo to spend their holidays. This year, too, they have chosen to spend vacation time with their family.
However, what worries most exiles are the high prices of airline tickets they have to pay to come to Kosovo.
Most of them complain that such prices are staggering and that it is impossible for them to fly to family members. Hence, they are forced to choose other alternative means of transport to their homeland.
Flenza Hyseni, a fellow traveler living in Germany, tells of Indexline that because of very expensive tickets, she and her family are forced to come to Kosovo by car, and this is very tiresome, especially for her children.
“Prices are too high, it is impossible to come by plane together with family because it costs as much as all rest in Kosovo. That's why I have to drive every time, but it's really hard because the long way is too hard for kids”.
Kosovars pay more expensive tickets compared to countries in the region. For a ticket from Germany to Kosovo for just one person, they must pay at least 350 euros, albinfo.ch conveys.
To avoid high prices, many exiles demand cheaper offers from various companies that appear on social networks. But they often fall prey to fraud by these companies that are not licensed.
Kosovo's Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has reacted to the issue, carrying out a sensationalisation campaign for fellow countrymen, which called on them not to fall prey to fraud for tempting offers by non-serious and non-launched companies. They also stress that in cases of fraud, damage is compensated only by companies that are licensed.
