The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, has started meetings with representatives of parties in the country for political developments following the prime minister's resignation, as the Republic of Kosovo has remained without government.
While, today, he has met CEC Chairman Valdete Daka to continue consultations on further steps under these new circumstances.
Thaci says there is now the need for concrete steps in line with the Constitution and Kosovo laws to have a functional and effective government in place as soon as possible.
“This government must reflect the will of political parties for a new ruling solution or that of a new electoral process and enable Kosovo to become government soon. Meetings with other political parties will continue in the coming days, depending on the agenda and developments within the relevant political parties”, he has declared.
