Statistically, the level of divorced men committing suicide is three times higher than that of divorced women.
Divorced men take less care of their health by reducing their use of healthful food and by consuming more harmful substances, such as smoking or alcohol. They are more likely to neglect medical visits and die of diseases that could have been treatable.
These conclusions are written in the book “Ding To Be Men”, by Will Kourena, who says that losing contact with children and partner, after divorce, drives men to suicide more than women.
Married men are healthier and less stressed than divorced ones. They are more likely to catch diseases in time that show their marks on the body and skin after seeing their wives change and force them to go to the doctor.
In fact, statistically, unmarried men have 70% more likely to die than married flour. While marriage is not perfect and often marital stress helps other diseases, such as arthritis or teeth, married people are generally much healthier.
