The quake was in the depth of 10km, with a 168km epidex in southeast Ternette City, Reuters said.
Indonesia's meteorological agency said that so far there is no alarm that this earthquake could cause tsunami. After the first quake, about 30 minutes later, this agency announced that there has been another 5.8-degree Richter earthquake.
Still no reports of damage or earthquake casualties.
