According to Chief Prosecutor Lumez, these cases are not being prolonged due to the prosecution's negligence, but because of the courts, as they according to him move from one instance to the next.

He says they have targeted 52 cases, but acknowledging they are complex and it takes time to provide sufficient evidence.

There have been a total of 52 cases we've targeted, and we've gone to the most serious cases that have happened in Kosovo, we have a total of 52 cases targeted, but those materials are complex and for which enough time is needed on the part of prosecutors to provide sufficient evidence which confirms the basic suspicion that concrete persons have committed in order to file charges or fire investigations, it's true that these materials are being prolonged, but are not being prolonged due to the neglect of prosecutors, the River has said in an interview with Online Economy.

“Instead, prosecutors are very effective in investigating these cases and within reasonable parameters and raising charges, but the acts that we send to court, there are spending and moving from one instance to another, often within these large cases and within the legal provisions, and then raising the prosecution acts, but those acts that we send to court, there are spending and moving from one instance to another, often happens that the court of first degree you condemn these persons and then by law, the second degree, the court, to turn it back to the first degree, so that they are losing a degree of confidence in the public, but let the institutions of justice also carry out the most of the penal acts.

All the first charges leading the state prosecutor, Alexander Lumezi, call the trend for weakening Kosovo's prosecutorial system, Lumezi in an interview for Online Economy, says these charges are unarranged and made by specific groups and individuals who want to see the State Prosecutor as they have imagined.

According to Lumez, the state prosecutor's institution is completely independent and has never been subjected to political influence, he says the charges against this institution have resulted from retaliations against the charges the state prosecutor himself made for various representatives of political parties, and in the direction of the prosecution that is politically influenced, but we are completely independent of our work that the institution he is leading has not considered these acts.

There are always charges and we leave any political influences, you have that we have people accused of all political parties, often when they accuse the representatives of a political party, other parties applaud us and tell us that we are doing a good job, while when they investigate those who have applauded us again and told us that we are doing a good job, we are again criticised by the other side, so that we are completely independent of our work and there is no political influence on the prosecutorial system, those who violate the law should also face justice and what are in society. I think these don't affect, you've seen that those criticisms that were made towards the state prosecutor, we haven't taken too much into account, we've continued our work just as it refers to the law and we haven't taken much of that criticism but we've continued our work”.

Lumez told Online Economy that he has not faced specific threats, but does not deny the tendency to prevent his work as chief prosecutor.

I have no further threats, but there are post-proncies which have been incorrect and which have been biased in order to weaken my work, but I have not taken into account and I have continued my work since I did it before even after the criticisms that are directed at my” address.

Lumez says that if evidence exists even for the heads of state, they are forced to begin investigating those who have criminal responsibility.

If there were abuses by the heads of state, we had to start criminal proceedings against those people and if we found enough evidence then certainly we would have filed accusatory acts, but it doesn't mean that the state prosecutors have the power to file accusations without evidence, if the evidence and investigations show that they have criminal responsibility, then we would certainly have to be forced and start investigating and take up the prosecution acts, if we have enough arguments and evidence to prove their guilt and responsibility to prove it to prove it.<8x>
