Kosovo can boast of road infrastructure, but we are stuck in railway infrastructure. The rehabilitation of this line has been necessary. One aspect that challenges us is energy infrastructure and water infrastructure. Kosovo would have to have water reserves, as was the case with Gjilan. Today, the return of the railway line to Han, Elez. We have railway lines with Serbia and Macedonia, but not with Albania and Montenegro. It is of interest to have a Pristina-Durra line. We also miss natural gas infrastructure”, Prime Minister Hardinaj said.
Minister of Infrastructure, Pal Lekaj said this project is of particular importance and promised other lines which are expected to be implemented in the years ahead.
EU representative Louis Bruda spoke of the importance of EU grants in the region, where he said that from all the amount of these grants Kosovo has benefited 10% or about 100m euros.
This project for him is important, as it is connecting countries in the region and increasing the capacity of goods.
Brusa, also said the EU would continue to support projects in Kosovo, but urged that other precautions and reforms in different spheres be implemented.
EUZH office chief Neil Tayler said that so far they have invested millions of euros in Kosovo and stressed that they are satisfied with this project.
