As a result of the accident, one pilot has lost his life and the other pilot has been injured. Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen confirmed the news and told reporters that the injured pilot is at the hospital receiving needed treatment.
Still no known cause of the crash of the EC 135 model helicopter. The army is investigating to discover the full causes of the crash.
The incident comes a week after a pilot was killed when two of Germany's unarmed Eurofaster planes crashed over northeastern Germany.
