Citizen Martzim Murtezi has filed criminal charges against several officials in the Kosovo Police, the municipality of Pristina and the Centre for Social Affairs in Pristina, as according to him, responsible officials have not acted to find his son, who, he says, was kidnapped four years ago.

Murtezi, at the same time chairman of the Association for Education and Professional Training of the Republic of Kosovo, said the Kosovo Police have not implemented the Court's decision and never opened a case in connection with his child's kidnapping, until it adds that further with finding his son INTERPOL.

He said it has to do with the non-recognition of child kidnapping, the non-rejection of criminal acts, evidence manipulation, human rights failure, and other works.

He made it known that he has filed criminal charges against several police officers, some officials at the Centre for Social Affairs in Pristina and against a responsible official in the public office in Pristina municipality. For the latter, she said she has manipulated the child's civil state by registering him without the father's name, even though it was known by the Court who the child's father was.

“Today, I have filed criminal charges because of the failure to report on the kidnapping of my child, who has been kidnapped for four years. His fate is still unknown, not yet known whether he is alive, whether he is sold or what has happened to him. The child is illegally located elsewhere, suspected in Belgium. We have verified other states, in Switzerland, Germany”, he said.

Although he had warned he would publicise the names of officials he has indicted, he says he has been instructed not to prevent investigations.

Now we have an international warrant, we have INTERPOL, who's looking for the child, and this shows that police have been doing a crime from the beginning because they haven't opened a case and I as a parent don't know what happened to the child, nor does the custody body know. We've got a few different violations from some cops here. Unfortunately, because of not hindering the investigation, I'm on the way not to mention the names, and the prosecution will surely do it by itself”, he said.

He made it known that he also sought additional measures against police officers who, according to him, were irresponsible in their work.

I expect the arrest of these meths who wear the Police uniform, who are responsible for the fate of my child, who is in the other country. No country knows what happened to my child... However, I now have hope of Belgian police and the time has come for this boomerang to turn to these Merapas who wear the police and QPS uniform in Pristina, which has been involved in the case but has never taken action to protect the child's interests”, Murtezi said.

In the end, Murtez invited the competent bodies to take necessary action against those whom he today has indicted so that this serves to prevent similar cases.
