In Sweden more specifically, the country's north is involved in the wave of extreme temperatures.
The small town of Markusvinsa registered a record temperature Friday that reached peak at 34.8 degrees Celsius, the highest temperature in Sweden this year.
“This is the highest temperature marked at the northern extreme since 1945”, SMHI meteorologist Jon Jopeland says of the media.
At the beginning of the week, some areas in Sweden have experienced <x0 minus tropical”, while the temperature during the night has not dropped for a moment below 20 degrees Celsius. / ATSH/
