Reuters news agency quoted its sources as saying that one of the Syrian passengers in the car has been suicide attack, whose explosives have erupted earlier.
Sources said passengers in the vehicle are being investigated for possible links to the extremist Islamic state group.
Rayhanli houses thousands of Syrian refugees.
In 2013, the explosion of two bombs there has killed over 50 people among them five children.
